Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) requires strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and fitness — all of which are encompassed into a choreographed floor routine performed to music, using different apparatuses.
Combining athleticism with artistry, gymnasts perform using hoops, balls, clubs, ribbons, or ropes. In addition to learning technical skills, rhythmic gymnasts develop important life skills like discipline, dedication, respect, leadership, and teamwork that instill self-confidence and empower them to follow their dreams.
BGC runs Developmental and Interclub programs leading to participation in the Provincial and National programs. We strive for excellence across all levels in which BGC gymnasts participate.
Please note that all RG programs require an annual commitment from families with the potential for training up to 25 hours per week at both our Maple and/or Mainway gyms. Training schedules run 7 days a week and competitions take place throughout the year.
