3 photos of artistic and rhythmic gymnasts Young rhythmic gymnast throwing batons with one leg up in the air Three rhythmic gymnasts with batons Our coaches take pride in the BGC teaching philosophy. We focus on developing the whole person from childhood to adulthood in a positive, encouraging, and fun environment. This means challenging gymnasts to strive to achieve their personal best in a way that develops both their technical skills and even more importantly, their self-confidence.

While both our artistic and rhythmic gymnasts compete individually for scores, they are far from alone in the gym or on the competition floor. Our gymnasts train as a team under the guidance of a team of coaches. But it’s more than just that—BGC is truly a family made up of gymnasts, coaches, parents, friends, families, volunteers, and the Burlington community.

The friendships made in the gym last a lifetime. It’s not uncommon to see a gymnast’s teammates smiling even bigger than she is while she’s on the podium or attending each other’s weddings 20 years after training. This is because at BGC, while our gymnats strive for their own personal best, you’ll find that they are also each other’s biggest cheerleaders for life.
